October 6th and 7th is the Chancellor’s Call to Action to Address Racism and Social Injustice Research Symposium, part of a “commitment by our university to put the need to address systemic racism and generationally embedded racial disparity into concrete action.”
On October 6th at 5:30 p.m. at Spurlock Museum, Dr. Ibram X. Kendi will be a part of the keynote conversation, moderated by Vice Chancellor Sean C. Garrick.
Kendi is the Andrew W. Mellon Professor in the Humanities at Boston University, and is the National Book Award winner for his book Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America.
