Eastern Illinois Foodbank’s annual Prom Benefit is coming up next month

This will be the 12th year for the foodbank’s major fundraiser. They’ve set a goal to raise $130,000, which is the equivalent of 650,000 meals for those in Champaign County who are experiencing food insecurity.

The theme of this year’s event, happening March 7th from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn, is Hunger Avengers. It will be black tie, and feature raffle prizes, heavy hors d’oeuvres, desserts, dancing, an open bar, photo opportunities and of course the crowning of the Prom King & Queen.

Here is the 2020 Prom Court:

Katy Behnke (Director, Stella & Dot)

Jessica Hogue (Financial Representative at Northwestern Mutual)

Vilma Howard (Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch)

Nicole Howell, MD (Pathologist, Carle Foundation Hospital)

Danny Iniguez (Owner of Raw Fitness Personal Training)

Julia Rietz (Champaign County State’s Attorney)

Ashlee Salinetro (Program Manager at the Champaign County Regional Planning Commission)

Steve Sarm (Attorney at Erwin, Martinkus & Cole Ltd)

Joanna Smith (Independent Realtor with Keller Williams Realty and co-owner of CS Construction Group)

Mitch Wilson (Vice President Mortgage Lending at Hickory Point Bank).

The man and woman who raise the most money will be crowned king and queen. If you’d like to donate to one of the individuals, or purchase your ticket for the event, you can do so here
