Former C-U resident/musician Danny Wahlfeldt, whose brother Chris Wahlfeldt plays in local punk outfit Midstress, was featured on Pitchfork earlier today. They had some pretty kind words to say about his new track, “Over and Under Ground”, which you can see over at their site.
His band Grave Babies is signed to Hardly Art, a subsidiary of SubPop, and is due for a release on February 26. Danny Wahlfeldt & Grave Babies are out of Seattle now, but he worked for the Nicodemus Agency for a while here in Champaign, and Grave Babies have played Pygmalion as recently as 2011, so it’s not a huge stretch to make news of this.
