Giertz Gallery calls for Parkland alumni art entries

The Parkland College 50th: Art and Design Alumni Exhibition will feature artists who have taken classes in art at Parkland College in the past. This will be the first juried alumni exhibition in the history of the gallery.

Artists who have taken at least one class within the Art and Design program at Parkland are invited to apply online to be a part of the exhibit. Works submitted may not be works produced as a class assignment. 

This exhibition will be juried by Barry Blinderman, director, writer, and curator at University Galleries of Illinois State University, Normal, since 1987. 

Parkland’s exhibition will run from Monday, September 26 to Saturday, November 5. Parkland College President Tom Ramage will speak at 6 p.m. during the exhibit reception on Thursday, September 29. A closing reception on Saturday, November 5 will feature a gallery talk by Blinderman.

The deadline to submit work to be considered for the exhibition is August 26.
