Happy New Year!

Our Smile Politely team is slowly powering up this week and getting back into publishing mode after a nice holiday break. We’re excited to get back at it and dig into all that 2024 is going to bring — the good, the bad, and the ugly. It’s an election year, so the ugly is pretty much going to be guaranteed, unfortunately. But, we will get through it together!

You’ll notice a few small changes as we begin the year, most notably a change in the publishing schedule. We will no longer be publishing on Fridays. As a result, we’ve moved The Weekender to Thursdays, and added Thursday events to the column. You’ll also notice SP emails appearing in your inbox on Mondays and Thursdays as opposed to Tuesdays and Fridays.

Is one of your resolutions to try something new? Maybe that something new is writing for your local culture magazine! We’re always looking for more perspectives to add to the mix. If you have a particular affinity for the arts scene, consider applying for our Arts Editor position. You can read more about what that entails here.
