Have you voted yet?

Two "I Voted" Stickers, still on paper. On the right a blue-purple one eyed cartoon monster. On the left, three raised fists of different shades of brown with I voted across the top.

Today is Election Day, giving you one last chance to vote in the consolidated election. Folks in Champaign have the most choice on their ballot this time around. If that is you, you will be electing a mayor, city council members, and school board members.

Polls are open today from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., and every single location is universal. Meaning you don’t have to go to the one closest to your house. Check the Champaign County Clerk’s website for a full list. Have a mail in ballot? Drop it in a drop box today before 7 p.m.

Be sure to read our editorial from last week, where we emphasize the importance of these races, and particularly hone in on the school board race.

We published as many responses as we received from the mayoral, city council, and school board candidates. Check out our interviews with Deb Feinen and Don Gerard for mayor, Greg Stock, Kathy Shannon, Will Kyles, and Matthew Gladney for city council, and the responses we received from four of the seven school board candidates.

Champaign County Voters Alliance is a great resource for election and candidate info. The mayoral candidates participated in a forum with WILL. The News-Gazette has questionnaires from candidates in all of the races. League of Women Voters of Champaign County held forums for mayor, city council, and school board back in February.

Please be sure to cast your vote today.
