Have pumpkin for breakfast at Courier

I don’t usually celebrate the flavors of fall, but something in me is either fixed or broken, and this season it’s been different. I’ve been drawn to pumpkins and apples

Today I voted early, and then had breakfast at Courier Cafe. I was tickled to find a fall flavors menu:

I did the reasonable thing and ordered the pumpkin milkshake ($4.75) and two pumpkin pancakes ($6.10). The pancakes are served with pecans and cinnamon butter. Were both items good? Hell yes. Was it a poor choice to go so heavy on the sugar and carbs and calories at breakfast? I regret nothing.
