I was intrigued by the name — we all know the story of Icarus flying too close to the sun and falling to his death in the sea. Seven Saints’ Flight of Icarus ($10) was not nearly as tragic. Made with North Shore Sol vodka, Aperol, Brovo Jammy sweet vermouth, lemon juice, and sage, this cocktail had a light, refreshing flavor with a slight taste of vodka.
I love a drink with some kind of garnish, and I thought the sage leaf looked so fancy. It reminded me of the feathers from the Icarus myth, and I will be back for another soon.
