The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District recently released their 2022 annual report, and even just a quick glance of it illustrates the wide swath of services that they provide for the community. We’ve shared about many of them: STI Clinics, providing period products, breast milk donation, dental exams, free Narcan kits and training, to name a few. And of course, their work was invaluable throughout the pandemic.
Here are a few interesting stats from 2022:
- Their Give Back Garden grew and distributed 1500 pounds of produce.
- They provided 25,746 meals through their Summer Meal Program.
- In partnership with United Way’s Bottom Line Diaper Bank, they gave out 11,000 diapers.
- They saw 1274 people in their STI Clinics.
- 332 patients visited the Family Planning Clinic.
- 707 people were trained in administering Narcan, and 6594 kits were distributed.
- They saw 6001 children in their dental clinic.
