The chain restaurant I Heart Mac & Cheese in Urbana is closed. The macaroni eatery was located in the same plaza as Po’ Boys and Rainbow Garden at Five Points.
If you heart mac and cheese, this news is sad, but so many Champaign-Urbana restaurants also serve great macaroni. We love the macaroni and cheese at Farren’s, Neil St. Blues, Hamilton Walker’s, Watson’s, and Black Dog. Around town, we can even find fun twists on the dish like the fried mac and cheese at Bunny’s, The Stuft Bird food truck’s fried chicken wing stuffed with mac and cheese, or Smith Burger’s bacon mac attack hot dog.
