Illinois Men’s Basketball will potentially lose star freshman center Kofi Cockburn after one season with the team, as he has declared for the 2020 NBA Draft, Champaign Room is reporting. It’s possible that he is just “testing the waters” as CR’s Stephen COhn points out:
This may just be Cockburn testing the waters, as 247’s Derek Piper reports that he hasn’t shut out the idea of returning to Champaign for his sophomore campaign, but this is still relatively stunning news for the big man, who will never get to play in a NCAA Tournament if he leaves.
