Illinois Public Media and the League of Women Voters of Champaign County are hosting an IL-13 debate

On October 5th at 7 p.m. you can tune into WILL-TV, WILL-AM 580, and WILL-FM 90.9 or streaming at wcia.com, will.illinois.edu and illinoisnewsroom.org to hear a debate between Rodney Davis and Betsy Dirksen Londrigan. The public can interact with the debate in real-time via Facebook Live — available on both the WILL and WCIA Facebook pages. The debate will be hosted in WCIA studios.

From the press release:

Moderated by Brian Mackey, host of The 21st, the debate will feature questions from a panel of local journalists—Mary Hansen (WUIS-NPR Illinois), Chris Coates (The Pantagraph, Herald & Review, and Journal Gazette/Times-Courier in Mattoon), and Mark Maxwell (WCIA)—as well as constituents of Illinois’ 13th Congressional District. Together, these questions will give people a chance to hear these two candidates discuss the issues affecting those throughout the district, which stretches from Champaign-Urbana west to the Mississippi River and to the Illinois suburbs of St. Louis.

Voters can submi questions ahead of time to illinoisnewsroom.org/election 2020. Questions will be reviewed and selected by the debate’s editorial board.
