Get excited: Chef Ken Ishibashi is doing a ramen pop-up this Friday and Saturday at ISHI. The last time ISHI had a ramen pop-up was New Year’s Eve. Usually, the Japanese restaurant offers weekend omakase, but this weekend, the menu will be a special ramen and desserts by Kaori’s Oven, a small bakery run by the chef’s wife Kaori Ishibashi.

There are no reservations for this weekend’s pop-up. At the last ramen event, the line was really long, so be prepared to wait — but ISHI’s ramen is worth the wait.

The New Year’s Eve ramen had a pork and chicken broth with chashu (braised pork belly), egg, bamboo shoots, scallions, and nori — and it was absolutely amazing.
