We Make Events is a national campaign to raise awareness about the consequences the pandemic has had on live event spaces, performers, and industry workers. Krannert Center and Illinois Theatre are joining in the day of action on Tuesday, September 1st to light up venues in red from 9 to 11 p.m. Over 1,500 venues, structures, and residences will be participating. At Krannert Center, lighting faculty, staff, and students will light the Amphitheatre, including the windows of the upper balcony lobby of Foellinger Great Hall. This display will be visible from Goodwin Avenue from 9pm to 11pm on Tuesday, September 1. The community is invited to drive by and photograph the display and share their images on social media using the hashtags #WeMakeEvents, #KrannertCenter, #IllinoisTheatre, and #SaveOurStages.
