This year’s Outside at Research Park on July 19th will feature Alma Afrobeat Ensemble, described by Afropop Worldwide as an “in-demand, eclectically instrumented group serves up an “intensely danceable” mélange of global flavors, influenced by funk, m’balax, and hip-hop and uniquely delivered through a dynamite horn section, dobro, banjo, and pedal steel stylings.”
They go onstage at 7:30 p.m., but get there early so that you can see C-U world music group Zécca Bom (who made our most recent BEST music list) at 6:30.
