Land Connection closes its market season with a Monster Market

October 30th is the final Champaign Farmer’s Market of the season, and it will have a Halloween theme with many added fun activities for market-goers. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Get a picture with their famous Frankenstein statue (aka Farmer Frank)
  • Come in costume and enter their annual costume contest. On-site judging will take place at 4:30 p.m., or have your photo taken anytime throughout the market for voting on social media.
  • Booths as well as some downtown businesses will have treats for trick-or-treating. Champaign Center Partnership will have maps showing where to go.
  • Chat with the City of Champaign Sustainibility team about their downtown plaza plan.

There will also be some of the market regulars there: Illinois Nutrition Education Program with fall recipe sampling, Champaign Public Library, Dragon Fire Pizza, and more. Plus it’s double SNAP benefits day, with matching up to $20, with a $10 bonus no matter what amount you swipe on your Link card.
