Last call for local artists: Your art can help save local pets

Art can open minds, create conversation, and spark heated debate. And thanks to the good folks at Art Coop, it can help support local shelter pets.

Now in it’s ninth year (one for each of a cat’s nine lives), the Annual Art Coop $50 Art Show to Benefit the Champaign County Humane Society is accepting work from local artists up until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14th.

Work in any media is welcome. All donations must be small, original, two-dimensional, and ready to be hung. As the title suggests, all pieces are sold for $50 and 100% of the proceeds benefit the Champaign County Humane Society.

So get your art to the Art Coop, help save a pet, and score a coupon for 25% off any one time purchase at the store. Art Coop is located in Lincoln Square Mall, Urbana.

The Grand Opening will be held on Friday, November 16th, from 7-9 p.m. The show will close on December 15th.
