Recycling is something so many of us do without thinking too much about it, but what are we really accomplishing when we do it? Are we doing it the right way? Are we really helping the planet? It’s it just another way of throwing stuff away?

On March 26th, from 7 to 8 p.m., the Champaign County League of Women Voters is hosting the latest installment of their Keeping it Local series to address these sorts of questions.

Daphne Hulse, Zero Waste Coordinator, Facilities & Services, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; Courtney Kwong, Recycling Coordinator, Public Works Department, City of Urbana; and Nichole Millage, Environmental Sustainability Specialist, Public Works Department, City of Champaign will be sharing their knowledge in a the virtual session that tackles the facts and myths about recycling.

This event is free and open to all. No registration is necessary, just join the Zoom using this link.
