Let’s hear it for the potatoes at Old Time Meat & Deli

If you’ve been to Old Time Meat & Deli on Neil Street, you’ve seen these humongous twice-baked potatoes in the middle of the meat store. They are some good looking spuds.

Each twice-baked potato ($4.29) is wrapped tightly with plastic wrap, and the skins overflow with buttery mashed potato, green onions, and cheese. Each one is practically a meal, and hot from the oven (with a sprinkle of salt), these potatoes are everything.

Every bite of this potato was delicious. Dashed with black pepper, the mashed potato center was so creamy with gooey ribbons of cheddar and occasional crisp pops of onion. It’s total comfort food and super satisfying.

When I went this week, Old Time Meat & Deli was having a firecracker sale with discounts on the store’s meats. For more about Old Time, read Zoe’s review of the Neil Street shop‘s bacon, baked beans, burger patties, yeast rolls, and (of freaking course) the twice-baked potatoes.
