Mahomet-based singer-songwriter Angela Palivos has won the 2021 Sweetwater songwriting contest alongside two other winners. Her song “Reason” — co-written with her husband Kevin Sisney — is a self-described “gypsy blues” song, with a driving bass line, crisp and clear vocals, and all around wonderful mixing, but it’s the songwriting that makes the song a stand out and ultimately, a winner.
