Los Lonely Boys live at the Virginia Theatre

Los Lonely Boys to Perform at Historic Virginia Theatre

The Champaign Park District presents Grammy Award-winning recording artists Los Lonely Boys on Thursday, November 7, 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) at the Virginia Theatre in downtown Champaign.  $22-$40 tickets are on sale now at the Virginia box office, www.thevirginia.org, or charge by phone at 217-356-9063. Sponsored by Q96 WQQB FM, Lite Rock 97.5 WHMS and La Prensa Media.

Los Lonely Boys’ story is already the stuff of which legends are made: playing behind their father as kids in cantinas and honky-tonks, moving to Nashville in their teens to try and win a record deal, returning to their native Texas where the three brothers made their bones on the club scene, then releasing a double-platinum self-titled debut that included the #1 hit single “Heaven”, followed up by two stellar studio albums, Sacred (2006), Forgiven (2008) and an EP 1969 (2009).

In 2010 the group released a long-awaited live album, Keep On Giving: Acoustic Live!, and returned with all new material on 2011’s Rockpango. Los Lonely Boys won their first Grammy Award in 2005 for Best Pop Performance. With musical roots that extend well past their birthdates into the songs of The Beatles, Santana, The Doors and Buddy Holly, the band continue to bend genres and light up stages with their energy and extraordinary musicianship.

Get your fix of the best in rock, blues, tex-mex, conjunto and tejano, all at one very special concert at the Virginia Theatre, with a little help from Los Lonely Boys! Enjoy them live in concert at the Virginia Theatre, Thursday, November 7, at 7:30 P.M. Buy your tickets today at the Virginia box office, www.thevirginia.org, or 217-356-9063.
