Ludlow Theatre Group’s production of The Green Children calling for auditions

From the press release:

Champaign, Illinois—Seeking regional actors, singers, and dancers for AUDITIONS for an original musical production: The Green Children

The Green Children is based on the award-winning illustrated children’s book by Kenny Chumbley and Jim McGuiggan, which is based on a 12th-century English legend. The play is a Wizard-of- Oz, family entertainment-type story that takes place in a fantasy land forest/village and in a house in the present day. The forest is inhabited by the protagonists, the Otherfolk (gnomes, brownies, hobgoblins, faeries, and green children). The antagonist, Squire Scrum, lives in the village of Ballybogey and is assisted by his two menials, Ennis and Orin. The show includes eleven songs written to traditional Celtic airs and a show-stopping Riverdance-reel. The show will appeal to all whose hearts are young.
