These places will feed kids for free during school closings (with updates)

*Note: With the announcement of the closure of bars and restaurants except for drive thru or curbside pick up, these are subject to change. We will update as needed. 

Maize at the Station

Parents and guardians need only ask for the kids special; no purchase is necessary. Kiddos will get a choice of a torta or quesadilla, plus rice, beans, and a juice.

Free lunch to kids Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. No additional purchase is necessary. Lunch includes a turkey and cheese sandwich, chips, applesauce, and a cookie. They will do curbside service. Call McAlister’s Deli  at (217) 355-6480 and press 3 at the prompt. This will put you directly in touch with an employee. If you provide a description of your vehicle and your estimated time of arrival, they will deliver the meals to your vehicle in the parking lot, or curbside. Limit 4 kids’ lunches. 
 
 
 
They will offer a kids meal item for free between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., Monday through Friday at their Champaign locations as well as El Toro Loco in Urbana. It has been confirmed that those locations are offering curbside service beginning March 17th.

They will offer half orders of fried rice or pan fried noodles for kids 12 and under from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. They will be doing carryout orders.
