MTD is doing their part to keep folks safe during the deep freeze:
With temperatures plummeting to dangerous lows, the Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District (MTD) will be offering free rides to all passengers on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 in order to help remove barriers to warmth and safety. Full and regular MTD service will operate as scheduled.
Additionally, MTD will be providing a warming vehicle at the Round Barn Road Transfer Point tomorrow from 6:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M to provide refuge to passengers waiting for their connecting bus.
