Several area teachers were awarded Teacher of the Year, and given $1000, today at Pear Tree Estate. There were six teachers honored at the event, an elementary, middle, and high school teacher from the Urbana and Champaign school districts. Teachers were selected out of over 250 nominations by students, parents, and guardians. This was the 2nd Annual Teacher of the Year event.
