Nick Offerman returning to C-U for Japan House Benefit April 1st

Japan House at U of I has this excellent news to reveal — this upcoming fundraiser with very special guest, the one and only Nick Offerman (Parks & Recreation, U of I graduate). The fundraiser takes place Saturday, April 1st at Japan House.

Enjoy a tasting of three different Japanese whiskies, accompanied by small tastings from Black Dog Smoke & Ale House, and followed by a mini whisky-pecan pie from Cream & Flutter.

Afterwards, actor and humorist Nick Offerman will speak about his newest book, Good Clean Fun: Misadventures in Sawdust at Offerman Woodshop, which he dedicated to the founder of Japan House, and his former Professor and sensei, Shozo Sato. There will also be limited time for Nick to sign books (books not available for purchase at Japan House). This will be held in the beauty of Japan House so tickets are very limited. 

Tickets go on sale on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 8:00 am on Eventbrite, at go.illinois.edu/japanhousetickets. Tickets are only available online.

  • $125 per person for Japan House Tomonokai members

Raffle tickets for a number of Offerman Woodshop items will be available. These items will be autographed personally by the woodworker that made them, as well as Nick.

Raffle tickets are available online. You do NOT need to attend the event in order to participate in the raffle. Tickets are $10 each, and 3 for $25. They can only be purchased online, starting on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 8:00 am, at go.illinois.edu/japanhousetickets.
