If you are a writer who would like to be considered, you have until April 26th to submit your fiction, poetry, or creative non-fiction. The prize is pretty awesome: The winner of each category will receive $1000 and publication in their Fall/Winter issue.
There are, of course, specific guidelines for each catagory, which you can find here. The submission fee is $17 per catagory — so submitting to multiple catagories is a-ok, just know you’ll be paying multiple fees.
An important note, from the submission website:
“Current and former employees of Ninth Letter, current and former students and faculty of the creative writing program at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and current and former students of our guests judges are not eligible to enter these contests.”
