“Obama Joker” artist is UIUC student

According to a report published in the LA Times, the artist behind the Obama Joker images that have been circulating is none other than a U of I senior majoring in history, Firas Alkhateeb. If you’ve seen the “socialist” spin on Alkhateeb’s original artwork, you should know that Alkhateeb did not create that poster and does not approve of its message, stating, “To accuse [Obama] of being a socialist is really … immature. First of all, who said being a socialist is evil?”
