If you have a young person in your life that is artisically inclined, encourage them to submit their work for Parkland’s Celebrate the Arts! Youth Art Competition. Youth ages 7 to 18 who live in District 505 can submit their two or three dimensional work — up to two entries — through February 22nd at 11:59 p.m. in jpeg format.
Submissions will be judged by Tanya Scott, Curator of Education for the University Galleries at Illinois State University and Matthew Watt, professor of Art and Design at Parkland College.
Winners will be announced on March 8th. You can find more information, including guidelines and instructions, at the Parkland College website.
