Pizza M on Indiegogo

Pizza M in Urbana has started a fundraiser campaign on Indiegogo to help offset the cost of opening a restaurant space in downtown Urbana this fall. If you haven’t yet had Pizza M, you must. It is delicious.

The campaign is open for seventeen more days and owner Matthew Kitzmiller only needs $10,000. For a $25 donation, you’ll recieve a free 14″ speciality pizza of your choice! For $50, you’ll get a Pizza M t-shirt and a ticket to the opening night party, where there will be yummy free food.

Here’s what Matthew says about Pizza M and the Indiegogo campaign:

Pizza M wants to be the healthy, delicious, and sustainable choice in Champaign-Urbana for hand-crafted Artisan pizzas.

My name is Matthew, I’ve worked for over 20 years in the restaurant buisness, and I now have the chance to put all my skills, ideas, and passion to work in a great little restaurant for Urbana, Illinois.

With your help, I can purchase the extra equipment needed to turn what is now a carry-out only pizza shop run out of the local bakery (open only 9 hours a week) into a full-sized, sit-down restaurant where everyone can come to enjoy my carefully crafted pizzas.

I’d like to offer wonderful, fresh, locally-grown ingredients in salads, desserts, soups, sandwiches, and of course — great pizzas!

I would also like to create a positive, fun, and respectful working environment for the people who will work at Pizza M and contribute to the greater local community as a whole.

The funding from this campaign will go to purchase the stone-deck pizzas ovens and other equipment needed to help complete set-up for the restaurant. The space at 210 W. Main St. in Urbana has already been secured, is under construction, and is scheduled to be completed by the end of July.

Please help by contributing to this Indigogo campaign or getting the word out by sharing this message. Donations will recieve a gift from Pizza M along with a very warm, heartfelt THANK YOU!

Pizza M is open Thursday and Friday, 6:309:00 p.m., and Saturday 5:309:00 p.m.
