It seems every time I pass through Campustown nowadays something looks different. Today I was taken aback by this corner actually being gone. I knew it was happening, but it’s still kind of shocking to see nonetheless. You can read my lament about the loss of this block here.
Also, check out this photo, courtesy of Champaign Urbana History Facebook group, of the ghost sign that was underneath the C.O.’s facade. Dooley’s was apparently a circa 1970s campus bar?
