Record Swap, located at 114 E. University, is moving to Lincoln Square Mall in Downtown Urbana, owner Bob Denier has confirmed. The longtime C-U staple of a record store announced back in April they would be moving out of their current location, though their future remained unclear as they searched for a new spot.
Denier mentioned Record Swap will remain in their location “until the end of July”, though there’s no definitive date for opening at this point in Lincoln Square Mall.
We do not have any word on what the status of Leonards Pawn Shop’s future.
Record Swap joins the ranks of a few other businesses that have moved there in the last few years, including the Idea Store, Defy Gravity, and more.
