Ricker Library has a new display that complements Black on Black on Black on Black

If you have not been to Krannert Art Museum yet to experience Black on Black on Black on Black, the new exhibit featuring work from Patrick Earl Hammie, Stacey Robinson, Blair Ebony Smith, and Nekita Thomas, please go do so. You have through December 10th.

Then, to enhance your experience, stop by the Ricker Library of Architecture and Art. Hammie, Robinson, Smith, and Thomas have pulled items from the library to curate a special display that reflects on themes from their work. From the Ricker Library Facebook page:

“Through the lens of Black Quantum Futurism, a vision and practice proffered by artists Camae Ayewa and Rasheedah Phillips, the artists encourage us to reflect on Black identity, positionality, imagination, innovation, memory, and healing. We invite visitors to consider the works on display as elaborations upon these themes and as threads weaving into a larger tapestry of Black communal memories and imaginative futures.”
