Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) will join Joe Biden in pursuit of the United States Presidency. Biden announced today Harris will be his running mate against President Donald Trump in November’s election. Harris previously ran for the Democratic nomination against Biden, but dropped out in December 2019.
When she announced that she was running for President, we posted about Sen. Harris’ connection to Champaign-Urbana, as her father, Donald Harris, was a professor of Economics at the Univeristy of Illinois years ago. As such, their family lived here in C-U for a bit.
