When the full moon rises in May, it is known as the Full Flower Moon due to the blooming of various wildflowers. In light of the event, The Urbana Park District, with a co-sign from the Prairie Cycle Club, is hosting a Full Flower Moon Bike ride for Ice Cream.
The community event will follow a path from Meadowbrook Park to the Sidney Dairy Barn and anyone is welcome to join. People can meet at the Race Street parking lot of Meadowbrook Park at 6:30 p.m. on May 14th, with a 6:50 p.m. departure.
Throughout the 3 hour and 25 minute expected round trip, lights are required by law for bike use during the nighttime and helmet use is heavily recommended.
