The New American Welcome Center at the University YMCA is partnering with The Refugee Center, ISC-U Immigrant Services Champaign-Urbana, Champaign County Health Care Consumers, Pixan Konob’ Interpreters Champaign IL, and First Presbyterian Church of Champaign to collect and share local COVID-19 vaccination stories.
They are hoping to address vaccine hesitancy in Champaign County through these stories. Champaign-Urbana Covid Vaccine Outreach began the #igotmyshotcu campaign as the first groups of people in C-U began receiving vaccinations, and NAWC is continuing that effort.
