Now that Downtown Champaign has basically been entirely overhauled, and redeveloped, would it make sense to see about exploring this again?
Charlottesville, VA. Iowa City, IA. Boulder, CO. Kalamazoo, MI. All of these cities have them, and all of them seem to be very successful, having spent time in each city.
I, for one, would at least like to see it studied by City Council. I think there’s viability there, especially if we created one that had families and wheelchair accessibility in mind.
