In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Wandell Sculpture Garden at Meadowbrook Park, the Urbana Park District is hosting “An Evening with Latrelle Bright, Jason Finkelman, and Deke Weaver” on April 19th.

Bright, Finkelman, and Weaver have all made names for themselves in the Champaign-Urbana art scene. Bright was previously a Spring 2022 Artist-in-Residence at Allerton Park. She is a theatre maker and a Teaching Assistant Professor of Theatre Studies at the University of Illinois. Finkelman, the Director of the Global Arts Performance Initiatives at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, is a musician and filmmaker. Weaver is perhaps most well-known for his “Unreliable Bestiary” performances. He is an artist, writer, performer, and Professor of New Media with the U of I’s School of Art and Design.

The event will take place on Wednesday, April 19th at 7:30 p.m. and is free, but the limited seats are first-come, first-served.
