On Saturday, October 16th, Staerkel Planetarium will host two full dome all Spanish language shows. The first will be “Un cielo, un mundo: La aventura de Big Bird” at 1 p.m. It’s an introduction to the night sky with Big Bird and friends.
After a 30 minute break, they will show “De la tierra al universo” at 2:30 p.m. The film will feature celestial discoveries throughout the history and will be presented by Ricardo Covarrubias Carreno, Ph.D., a professor at Parkland College.
