The grand opening for Sugga Shaii’s Sweets food truck will be next Sunday, May 28th from 1 to 6 p.m. at Riggs Beer in Urbana. Sugga Shaii’s Sweets makes some very delicious desserts, and the truck’s menu will include chocolate turtles, brownies, cookies, cheesecake jars, and cake jars. Her combinations are super fun: strawberry lemonade brownies, banana pudding cookies, peach cobbler cheesecake jars, and Oreo cake jars, plus classics like chocolate chip cookies.
Of the desserts that I’ve tried, my favorite are her chocolate turtles. It’s a simple treat: just chocolate with pecans and caramel, but the buttery caramel center is perfection. Her cakes in a jar are fantastic, too.
