Summer is a good time to go to a tea ceremony

U of I graduation is this weekend, marking a slowdown of the pace of life on campus. We talk a lot about various ways to take advantage of this situation, and you should include doing a tea ceremony at Japan House on your list of U of I campus to-dos this summer.

They currently have tea ceremony tickets on sale for the months of May and June, occurring regular on three different days: Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m., Thursdays at 3 p.m. (this is a Ryūrei or table-style ceremony, and every 3rd Saturday at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. (come a little earlier, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. for tours and shopping).

Tea ceremony tickets are $10 for students or Tomonokai members, and $12 for the public.
