FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Taste of Champaign-Urbana Vendors Announced

One of Champaign-Urbana’s favorite and most delicious festivals is coming up on August 19 & 20 in West Side Park – the Taste of Champaign-Urbana! Whether you want to map out your stops early or just want a peek at the festival’s food, art, and music offerings, you’re in luck. Champaign Park District has posted the 2016 Taste of Champaign-Urbana Map for all to peruse. Get a glimpse online now: https://champaignparks.com/taste-of-champaign-urbana/

The festival includes more than 20 food vendors, over 20 artist stops, and over 20 beer varieties. Also visit the 29 community booths that will be on site with prizes and great information. Headlining music acts are New York rap legend Kurtis Blow (Friday night, August 19) and chart-topping rock band Vertical Horizon (Saturday night, August 20), both taking place on the Illinois American Water Stage.

Visit the Chambanamoms.com Kids Zone for activities like inflatables, paint ball, face painting, bubbles, and more. Taste of Champaign-Urbana will also feature three pop-up performances provided by 40 North’s Friday Night Live.

The event is free, but donations will be accepted at all entrances. Proceeds of Taste of CU benefit the Youth Scholarship Fund. This fund allows area youth to utilize programs like afterschool, youth soccer, and arts classes that keep them engaged and active in their community.

We’ll CU in two weeks!

New food vendors include Latea Bubble Tea Lounge, MyCoffeeism.com (a coffee subscription box service), and The Snack Shack.

Music includes headlining performances by Kurtis Blow on Friday and Vertical Horizon on Saturday.
