Tell the City of Urbana what you think about the HOME ARP Allocation Plan

The City of Urbana will be holding two public hearings to solicit comments and suggestions from the community regarding an amendment to the FY 20/21 Annual Action Plan. The discussion will involve the addition of a federal HOME ARP allocation of $2,970,773 to the Urbana HOME Consortium budget. The money is meant to “assist individuals or households who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, by providing permanent housing, supportive services, and non-congregate shelter, to reduce homelessness and increase housing stability within Champaign County.”

The Urbana HOME Consortium is comprised of the City of Champaign, the City of Urbana, and Champaign County Regional Planning Commission.

The hearings will be on July 18th at 7 p.m. and July 26th at 6 p.m. at the Urbana City Building. If you would like to submit written comments, you can send to City of Urbana, Grants Management Division, 400 South Vine Street, Urbana, IL 61801 or email [email protected] before the close of business on Friday, July 29, 2022.

You can read the draft allocation plan here.
