Two of Illinois men’s basketball’s best are heading back to C-U for another season.
Terrance Shannon Jr. will enter his fifth year, alongside Coleman Hawkins, who returns for his senior season in orange and blue. Both players tested the waters for this year’s NBA Draft, but withdrew their names and announced last night they’ll be coming back. Last season, Shannon averaged 17.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game, while Hawkins averaged 9.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game.
Here’s the announcement, and most certainly, this makes Illinois basketball fans a bit more excited to have two major players return.
