In case you haven’t been paying attention to the weather, it’s going to be scary cold this week. Wednesday, the high is supposed to be in the negative. While many of us can stay bundled up in our warm cozy homes, it’s an incredibly dangerous time for those in our community who do not have a permanent residence.
The City of Champaign keeps a listing of resources for those who might need them, and they are keeping it updated during these bitter cold days to reflect those place who are extended hours as needed.
You can find that list here, and hey, maybe it’s a good time to think about lending a hand at one of these places or finding out what types of warm things you might be able to donate.
