C-U at Home, in seeking to continue it’s overnight men’s shelter and also keep distancing recommendations, has connected with the Champaign Park District and will be using the Douglass Community Center gym at 70 E Washington for a temporary space.
According to their Facebook page, they have been averaging 52 men a night in March. Utilizing the larger space will allow them to keep the beds 6 feet apart as recommend by public health.
