Sure it’s Reading Day and if you’re a student type person you should be studying for your finals. But hey, having an Illini sports team in a Final Four situation is a big deal, so take a break for a couple of hours and join the Spike Squad in the Illini Union Courtyard Café to watch the match on the big screen and cheer your heart out with a bunch of other fans. If the watch parties for the World Cup were any indication this summer, it should be a fun time.
Here’s the schedule for the evening:
6 p.m. Stanford vs. BYU on the Courtyard big screen
7 p.m. Department of Athletics will be here welcoming students
7:30-8 p.m. Drawing for students to enter to win free Illini swag
8 p.m. Free Blaze Pizza & Auntie Anne’s (while supplies last) & Illinois vs. Nebraska on the Courtyard big screen
If the team advances, they will show the championship game at 8 p.m. on Saturday. Go Illini!
