Your patience is appreciated while this event is underway.

Questions and concerns may be directed to Mr. John Collins at 217-384-2380.

According to the marathon website, “In most areas of Champaign, runners will be sharing the road with vehicles. For the safety of all, it is critical that vehicle operators and runners have face-to-face visual contact. Runners should be given the right of way. Vehicle operators traveling in the same direction should avoid a turn into the path of the runner. It is best to circle a block so that the turn can be made with the runner facing the vehicle. Again this turn should only be made with sufficient distance so that the turn can be completed without impacting the runner.”

If you aren’t involved with the race at all, it’s best to stay outside “the beltway” loop. But if you need info on getting in and out of the the race zone, be sure to check here for more details.
