Now students who are training as automotive technicians at Parkland will be able to add experience with electric vehicles and hybrids to their skill sets. The automotive program, with the help of a grant, recently purchased a Mustang Mach E, which is an electric compact SUV, that will be used for training.
While all students in the program will be able to learn on the vehicle students who are specifically in the Ford Automotive Student Service Education Training (ASSET) program earning Ford certifications, will be able to earn additional electric and hybrid certifications.
