The School of Social Work is hosting their next poverty discussion on July 24th

The next installment in the Poverty Discussion Series, hosted by the University of Illinois School of Social Work, will be July 24th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The topic will be “The Distribution of Resources and Ways to Alleviate Food Insecurities in the State of Illinois.”

This online event counts towards continuing education for those in the field, but it is also open to the public. Presenters include: 

State Representative Carol Ammons, 103rd District

Jennifer McCaffrey, PhD, Assistant Dean for the Family and Consumer Sciences programs at University of Illinois
Extension

Stephanie Acevedo, LSW, Extension Educator, SNAP-ED, Serving Champaign, Ford, Iroquois, and Vermilion Counties
